First Valentines minus hubby. His job is going well in Calgary and I WANT TO BE THERE!!! Anyone want to buy my house so me & the sprogs can join him????? Always ranted that Valentines is sooo over commercialised, opportunity for the flower & card shops to make money, blah, blah, blah but how I missed those tacky red roses.

I spent my Valentines Day wondering around Belleville and Kingston, freezing my BC acclimated arse off. Interesting trip, got the job I was after in Kingston, decided against Belleville as a base for a variety of reasons, so now have to choose between the Kingston job and the UK job which has better long term prospects and pays better. Back home in BC now, exhausted and vowing never to fly again (we had a slight mishap on the runway landing at Calgary in -26 weather. Planes skid like large cars apparently.... :scared: )
Iain - time just ran away in the brief couple of days I had there - would have loved to meet up for that coffee but barely had time to breathe let alone socialize. Kids were amazing given that they were dragged across Canada and back in just over three days. Pretty country up there in your neck of the woods!
