Omlet was under-egged, it was The Scottish Play today. Branagh was a bit Oliviery and a mumbler. Even harder to lipread than a bearded Geordie.

Our driveway gets cleared by the snowblower fairy. The taxi driver a few doors away gets all my business. He has a snow blower. I presume it's him doing it. I've never actually seen him at it.
This year, like last year, we will be spending a couple of hundred bucks renting a shelter. Brilliant things. Not once did I get dragged out of bed at 5am to scrape the car.
Not sure if they are allowed everywhere, though, and even our relatively easy-going city has strict rules on size and clearance (from road, hydrants etc).

Luckily my house sitter loves to roar up and down the driveway on my tractor clearing snow. Can't think why

Over here on the other side of the river, those tarpaulin shelters are basically unheard of except for a few in Vanier and Orleans.

Funny you should mention that. One thing that I do is have a bunch of lobsters air freighted from Clearwater Fisheries. My pal is a pilot for Mapleflot so he gets a big shipping discount which makes it doable. He organizes the whole thing for me. I just wait for them to be delivered. It's a small piece of Nova Scotia that I can share with my friends and neighbors who are mainly from BC and Washington ! It works well. One from WA owns Badger Mountain Winery and he's very generous with his product. We don't need much of an excuse for an event.

The snow blower. I don't think most people would know that it's the older model, it looks good and shiny.
