Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of renting short term flats or houses in the Gtr Vancouver area (Burnaby, Richmond, New Westminster, Tricities, North Van)?

Is it possible to rent furnished or is it better to rent unfurnished and rent furniture whilst we're waiting for ours?

Do you know of any reputable websites and/or agencies?

It's common for short term flats to be furnished and long term flats to be unfurnished.

It's less common to find short term flats that are unfurnished.

It says in the wiki that it can be more cost effective to rent furniture for an unfurnished property than rent a furnished property.

Does anyone know of any companies that will rent furniture for, say, 6 months in the Gtr Vancouver area?

i am struggling to find a suitable accomodation in vancouver they are saying inorder to rent u have to be physically in the country, i am still in uk. will not be moving until june 08, any cheap 3 bedroom in vancouver would be a bonus guys

Not words you often see in the same sentence.

But yes, it is much, much easier to do if you are here. Maybe the best option, like the poster above, is to rent a short-term place, such as a room in a suite hotel for the first month.
