Default Short term rental Burlington Ontario

Hello all,

We're finally making the move over first week July

We were promised a friend's basement for the first week/two but he's now told us we can't use it.....yikes! We've been looking all over for short term (two weeks) rental apartment/hotel suite for about $120/night (if we have to stay longer about $1500/month) but this is proving hard to find. We just want to use it in order to find long term rental. Vacation rentals are really expensive and b&b's are pretty booked up already. Does anybody know of anything suitable for two adults and one well trained 17 yr son? Furnished would be preferable. Getting the jitters now as it seems to be going a bit pear shaped at the last hurdle

someone out there might know of something out there.....

Thanks for reading!

Just looked at the suites you suggested Siouxie, great places but unfortunately minumum rental one month....we only wanted it for two weeks whilst we try to secure long term rental, although we are aware trying to do that could take longer. Thanks anyway for taking the time to reply, much appreciated.

You are very welcome.

Most long term rentals start on 1st of the month, so you may find you need 'temporary accommodation' for longer than you think. Make sure you bring references from your bank/mortgagee's (or landlord) in the UK as you will not have any credit score here. Also be prepared that you will be required to pay first and last months' rent in advance.

Where are you going to be looking for long term and in what kind of price range - are you hoping to rent a house or an apartment? Burlington is more expensive than Hamilton (but nicer).

PM me if you need any assistance - I live in the Hammer.

Try the Homewood Suites by Hilton - there is one in Burlington and as far as I can tell they allow shorter stays than a month and the rate starts at $109 per room per night.

When we moved to Burlington in 2004 we stayed at the following B&B. It a retired lady that rents out her spare bedrooms. If you are looking for something short term this is may work.

Hope this helps,
