The Moving Partnership: £5623.92 (incl Insurance)
Fox: £5180.00 (excl Insurance)

I was expecting around the £4k mark!!
Thanks,

Hi Stuart,
We moved from Rugby to Calgary on Jan 1 this year. We used PSS -cost was £4703 including insurance, for 20' sole use container and full packing service. White and Co came in about the same, others were much higher including one of almost £9,000!!
The free storage at this end didn't quite turn out as promised when container turned up after only 3 weeks, luckily we didn't have to foot the bill (another $500) and we are still waiting for insurance claim to be settled.
Where are you heading??
Good Luck!

We user White & Co and paid 3600 from Manchester - Calgary not including insurance which was charged at 2.5% of amount to be covered I believe.
That was for sole use of 20ft with packing and delivery at both ends.
I will however say that since then I have had issues. Firstly we were told it would take around 22 days but to allow for 30. Then suddenly the boat was no longer stopping in UK so had to get another boat and now it is going to be 40 days best case. 33 days so far and container is in Montreal waiting to be put on a train so it might hit 40 day estimate.
Point being I am unsure of if these delays are down to unforeseen circumstances or White & Co.

We had a quote recently from Anglo Pacific, for a full 20ft container from West Yorkshire to Calgary they quoted £4400 excluding insurance. Although from what I have read on here you can usually get them down a bit on their first quote.

That's what EVL quoted (granted they've now gone bust though)! Plus I've read other posts where people have paid around the £4k mark.
Yeah good mate thanks, landed a few weeks ago and got everything sorted other than the house purchase! We're aiming to go July time for good.
Good luck with your move, have you decided on location now?
We're heading from Northampton to Okotoks. £4703 sounds a bit more reasonable; I'll try to use this as a bargaining tool!

After a lot of back and forth we decided on Calgary. Trying to find a rental in Sundance.

We used Anglo Pacific and it was about 4500 quid from Glasgow to Calgary door to door sole use 20ft container, but that was about two years ago with oil prices at $80 a barrel whereas they are now over a hundred dollars a barrel.
They were the cheapest at the time of everyone I tried.
