Default shipping stuff to Calgary

In (perhaps over-optimistic) anticipation of hearing from Immigration soon, does anyone have recommendations for a company to ship stuff from London to Calgary? Anything to look out for when we contact different companies? We don't have a lot of stuff so will probably be sharing a container. Thanks...

Not as much as you would think ... the only major item of furniture we brought was a three piece suite ... some Canadian furniture still looks a bit 80's even after three years living here.

Ikea is very popular over here ....

I found Allied-Pickfords very good to Toronto this summer. It was 2500GBP door to door using groupage. Just over 300 cubic feet. Everything arrived here just the way it left there.

Spoke to several removials companies at the Emmigrate show at Sanddown Park last weekend. They all gave ball park figures of £3500 (forgot to ask if inclusive or exclusive of VAT) for a full container.

They do all the packing/unpacking at either end plus the evil contents lists required by Canadian customs

Sounds like Calgary could do with a local DFS!
