Default Shipping insurance advice please

Hi all

Quick question re shipping insurance .... we have been advised to only itemise items worth over £40 on our valuation form for standard liability insurance as anything below £40 will be automatically covered by the shippers limited liability.

Reading the very small print on the back of the form it would appear that this is correct but I wondered if anyone had any recent experience or views on this that they could share?

Many thanks! J

Shippers are notorious for not paying up!! I'd think carefully about insurance but check the excess as well!!

Well of course I am hoping that they won't have to...!! I will think carefully though - just wondered what others had done.

Hope things are still going well for you .... We'll be joining you soon - J
