Good morning. Can somebody please tell me if you can send over personal items on a temporary work permit? I'm not sure if we are going on a 6 month permit or a year permit. We plan to try and get PR once we are there. Many thanks 😊

Yes you can. Bear in mind the goods being shipped need to be consistent with the needs of a person while in Canada. CBSA wouldn't expect a 40 foot container full of household goods for someone on a 6 month work permit. In your case planning to get PR indicates no intention to leave as you wouldn't have even applied once you arrive in Canada on the work permit. Be very careful how you do this and definitely don't sell your house.

Brilliant thankyou so much!!! It's literally hubbys stereo equipment (irreplaceable) and photo albums, so just thinking of getting it shipped via air cargo or something. Thankyou again ðŸ‘ðŸ»
