You could send them as part of a groupage container where several shippers use a container.
You could also send them via a courier.
Air freight would probably be the most expensive route.
Depending on the size and weight your options might be limited.
Prices will vary so get several estimates.

Agree... if it's only 2-3 boxes then a courier or air freight will probably be the least amount of faff. You could also do groupage in a shipping container, where you only pay for the space in the container that you use, but shipping time is anywhere from 4-12 weeks, and an extra trip to customs to clear the package, etc.

Maybe call a few companies to get quotes - across all three options. Air Canada Cargo, Air Transat Cargo, Robinsons, GB Liners, White & Co, UPS, FedEx, etc etc etc.

A Standard '25kg' suitcase amount of stuff is about £90 door-to-door using discounters like Parcel2go.com, from memory. About 1 week delivery.

I would suggest Air Transat Cargo - though you will have to collect the items from the airport.

I just had my tea cartons picked up on Friday. The company I used over quoted me. So I had more then enough boxes to use which they supplied me with. They always over quote as if you need more boxes then you have to pay for them to be delivered. What they do is finalise what you actually have then they give you a final total. I looking to be a 3rd under what I was quoted. I will know doubt get that total final invoice tomorrow.

They supplied me with 3ft, 4ft & 5ft boxes (measured in cubic ft). I have used 30 cubic ft.

I was quoted £855 for 106 cubic ft. Plus insurance. I just insured stuff I really didn't want to lose or worried if it got damaged. They just work out a percentage on your total amount to be insured. I.e £10,000 of goods is £200 odd to insure. I can't remember exact numbers.

My stuff is going to Vancouver though. Been delivered door to door. Not sure what it would cost to get to Alberta.

Forgot to mention, my stuff is been shipped by sea. Takes 8 - 10 weeks.

anglo pacific is the company I used. They ship a lot to NZ and AUS, plus other destinations. They advertise in the Aussie and Kiwi travel mag in the UK every week. I know loads of travellers that use them after the travels in the UK.
