We have just shipped 4 cubic square meters for approx £1300 (46 items) including a computer chair and took approx 9 weeks for delivery but did have a slight delay. No problems with the company and very helpful both in the UK and here in Canada

Hi
We are also getting quotes, but they are all saying we have different amounts of cubic feet eg;500-950.The ones quoting lower say we only need shared container but the ones saying we need more are pushing for us to have our own 20ft even though we do not have enough to fill it, as a 20ft holds about 1000-1100 cf.Do you think I'm being conned as it would cost aprox £1500 more for our own 20ft container.
Has anyone used Migrateglobal and if so any good?
Thanks Helen

From my own experience, I only go with companies that send out an actual rep to see what stuff you're moving. Over the phone/email requires so much guesswork as to render any quotes useless.

I've moved with Crown Relo, United Van Lines and DIY in my last three moves. DIY is not recommended.

We packed most things in boxes so worked out the sqaure footage and gave the company a copy. Had no problems at all even after they collected everything

The quotes we have had are all around the 5k mark for a 20ft container and those guys never bothered to come and see us

GB liners came to our home, made a list of what we was taking and advised that we can goto there ware house to see our 20ft container loaded and sealed, they have also come very highly recommended so waited for there quote, just under 3.8k and i do the small packing and they do the large items for me

Door to door etc - good value
Didnt tell them either about the other quotes, but wow they was cheaper

Try AVM worldwide. We are using them to take our furniture to Canada. They are soooo helpful, and they offer door to door at a great price. They will also try to get you a cheaper price if you find a cheaper quote elsewhere. The number is 0800 833932 if that helps.

Hi Lanie,
We are heading to London Ontario so our stuff is the East coast, but a lot of people are heading to Vancover so post a "share container" thread.
