shell we apply for a pr card when we land

i know yes another question, but woul dit be a good idea to apply for the pr card when we land, or do we not need it if im landing and getting my TWP.

It's a card for permanent residents, temporary work permit holders aren't entitled to one, only permanent residents are.

What if you land with an open work permit can you get one then??
