Shall I tell them?

More than likely I'm flying out already in a couple of days and more than likely my LMO will not have come back yet. I will be booking a flight with a return in the near future, which is also changeable for the next year. I have my job contract in my laptop bag. Should they search it they will find it along with references and resume, simple as that. Now that would raise several eyebrows.
So should I just tell the border officers that I am waiting for an LMO? Of course I would tell them that should it come back negative I am fully prepared to leave Canada and that is why I have booked an early return.
Or is it best to just keep my mouth shut and hope they won't ask why I have 2 giant suitcases for a one or two month stay?

Tell the truth - as long as you can convince them that as a visitor you won't work and that you'll leave if and when required then I can't see it being a problem. I wouldn't lie, or even withhold info - they might even know from their computer...

Tell the truth, I can assure you that they will on their computer know that you have applied for work permit, they did with me.

I would never lie to customs. Have dealt with border crossings with goods on a professional level before the border less EU so know better than that.
I'm just wondering wether I should offer the information without being asked or or shut up about it if they don't.
But I think volvoman (nice screen name
) said it best. The LMO application is sent in as of almost a week ago so I bet it's in their computers by now.
