Looking at what you put in your profile it seems you're going to Waterloo, in which case, you might want to check out Goemans, which has a place in Kitchener.

Well worth doing some online research beforehand to see what prices and deals are one. The Red Flag Deals forums are worth a look, as you could find some good deals listed.

What put me off most of them was no utilities included which is why I went for the bungalow. Got a friend to share it with me so $600 per month each for everything. And someone to help cut the grass etc lol
Edmonton has a lot more rental complexes built in the last 20 years then most city's in Vancouver/Lower Mainland have, they basically don't build rental buildings anymore, so most apartments are older before ensuite laundry was popular.

If you rent a unit in a new built condo building you have a good chance at laundry, but those cost $$$ so out of our league rent wise.

Be careful with Kijiji for rentals, huge amounts of rental property scams here in Calgary. Don't send anyone a penny, especially if they mention Western Union.

Yeah as stated don't send money up front. You need to see the place first. Pictures used to advertise might be more than a little out of date. That happens even when looking to buy, places look great, you turn up to view, it stinks and needs gutting lol
I saw some dumps here in edmonton i wouldn't kennel a dog in and can't understand how people can live in such filth.
Make a list of what you want and stick to it, main ones on mine where in suite laundry and a single guys maid (dishwasher) and i kept looking till i got everything i wanted.
Ask local people on here who live in the area your going to so you don't land yourself in a bad area !
