Setanta
As loathe as I am to give my money to Satan (Murdoch) I really want to get the Setanta set top box to catch live Premiership games.
Has anyone else made the investment?
If so, what are your thoughts on it? i understand it is about $15 a month.
Can't wait to see Arsenal stuff the Spuds tomorrow morning at 8.30am!!

Hubby's just ordered it - we're waiting for channel to appear so he can test it out this weekend. Yep I think it's about $15 a month - not a settop box for us though - just another channel on the satellite.

I wish I had the opportunity (not so bothered about footie, as a half-hearted Pompey fan, but they have the Canadian rights to the rugby world cup :curse - we have Cogeco cable, who don't have an agreement with Setanta yet.

Re: Setanta
Saw the Rugby. I'm heading out to the Pub (which doesn't serve until 11am sadly) to watch the Rugby tomorrow, before watching the Spuds take a pasting tomorrow.

Sure thing As I grew up in Portsmouth, I also have been known to go to the odd Fratton Park fixture - seems a long time ago now - before the Premier Division even existed - oh no, help - I turn 40 on Sunday

Oh, I'm quite pleased that I didn't have the opportunity to watch the game today. 36-0 wasn't too good, was it? Still, one must maintain the upper lip stiffly.

Re: Setanta
I discovered to my surprise, that I have Setanta on my Rogers cable package. I say surprise 'cos I don't knowingly subscribe to any of the sports channels/packages. Anyway, it meant that I could watch the England SA game yesterday although I rather wish I hadn't bothered. Oddly on the channel guide it seems to imply I need to 'buy' the game as per pay for view but come the designated hour I get to watch it without buying, paying, entering any kind of pin number etc. I spose I'll have to wait til next months bill to see if I paid for the privilige of watching Englands humiliation.

Re: Setanta
We had the channel free (on Bellvue Express) for our first month here then it disappeared - I called and was told it is $14.99 which I believe OH is going to shell out for.
