Service Canada Booth at Toronto Airport?
Does anyone know where the Service Canada booth is at YYZ? Or if it even exists?
I found a line about it here: Applying for a Social Insurance Number - University of Alberta
But couldn't find it on any maps or on the Pearson website...

Immediately after immigration/passport control and before you go through exit into arrivals hall. Not sure if it is accessible unless you come through immigration.

Service Canada at the airport? When did Canada enter the 20th century?

Yep it's right there, after you get your COPR (or other applicable immigration document) stamped and checked, you will be pointed to your back left, where there's a cubicle for a friendly Services Canada person. Getting our SINs issued took longer than getting our COPR checked.... But you do get a seat for your SIN (pun intended), which you don't get at the immi desk...

Amazing - I need it for after immigration anyway, so that's perfect, thank you!
Awesome, thanks! Couldn't find anything on the Service Canada website for this particular office, but any idea about hours of operation? I'm assuming something like 9am-4pm but not certain!

We landed just over 1 year ago and finished with immigration at about 8 pm and it was still open then.

I assume you landed awhile back? I remember you from when I applied for spousal back in 2012... are you just making your move over now?

So yes I'd say normal airport hours too.

You cannot go to ANY service Canada as my wife was referred to a main branch (In Newmarket) to obtain her SIN.
Only open, 8am till 4pm Monday to Friday as well if I remember.
Really inconvenient if you work.
The local branch would not deal with it.
I have also been referred to a further, different branch (Aurora) in order to obtain a health card which I have not managed to get to yet

health care is provincial not federal, different agencies.
I suspect there may be places where the two agencies occupy the same or nearby buildings , especially in smaller towns.

Yes, I think you are right now I think of it.
I didn't realize there was a difference.

For anyone else reading this and wondering, it's not a bad idea to search for your closest Service Canada office here: Find a Service Canada Office and check they offer your service required before going in!

Ah that makes more sense! Else I was going to be like, err, you might want to double check you'll hit your res requirement, haha! Glad you haven't entirely fallen off the face of the earth, though!
