Thx.

Sorry for the delayed response, this should take you to the page where it says October is when the pool re-opens.

still can't see it! I can see the 2017 program date, but nothing about the 2018 program. Where am I looking?

Ugh you know what, I've just realised I've been sent the 2016 link for scheduled invitations for 2017!! I've set up a profile in readiness and everything. Now that's out of the question, does anyone have experience/ knowledge on when the pools open roughly what time of the year? This is disappointing.

Phew, I thought I was going doolally!

Anytime between Oct & March, it's usually in the latter part of that (Jan/Feb time), but can be earlier as it was this year.

HTH, good luck for next year.

Phew, I'm glad I've picked up on this otherwise I would be expecting some sort of response when they aren't giving them. It's likely I may have to create another profile then as I read on a thread on Facebook it expires within 6 months.

Thanks good luck too

You will certainly have to create a new profile. Each year, the applicant pool is wiped, and people start over from scratch. Some years, the entire application system is completely changed (eg the current random draw system is two years old. Before that, it was first-come-first-served) at the same time.

A few years back, the announcements were Jan for Feb opening, so people with their hopes pinned on December had troubles - October's definitely early to be waiting to pounce on
Thank you, it's always good to know as I've never been through this before. Its all new to me so any advice is appreciated

Time to man the fack up Boys!

I did it at 25. Sure I didn't sleep for two nights before I flew but it was with out doubt the truest test of all my character.

It won't be easy as nothing worthwhile in this life is.

However you are, without question, at the optimum point to do it.

Throw the dice and play the game as it is much much better than sitting on the sidelines.

I will leave you now with the wise words of Maester Aemon:
