Hi All,
I've been in Vancouver nearly a year and finally bought a car. I used to tinker around with these in the UK, sourcing most of the parts from scrap yards (economcal and my bit for the environment!)
I'd like to do the same here and take used parts to tinker and replace broken bits on my car, however...
I cannot locate an obvious scrap yard anywhere. Does anyone know of any good ones (Vancouver area) where they let you route around in them for bits, or is this not the Canadian way?
(Beats the usual forum questions about passport times and whining about the food!) We're loving it here!

Most people seem to store scrapped vehicles in their gardens so knock on peoples doors like the Rag 'n Bone man used to do down our street up North.

Yellow pages. "Automobile Wrecking and recycling"
There is half a page of them in my little area, presumably more in the Vancouver area?
