Guys/gals:
I am planning to move to Ottawa, ON sometime August 2006. I already had several videoconference job interviews with several companies up there. I’ve been to Ottawa three times.
As one of many victims of dotcom bust in the US (three lay-offs in six years), I am still traumatized about finding a job. Currently I work for US DOE as a Systems Analyst.
A little bit background; I primarily work on PeopleSoft ERP, PeopleSoft portal and EDI document control, Java (J2EE), and Oracle 9i/10g database. I have about five years experience administering Windows/LINUX/Novell network environment. I also have four years experience developing software and project management from start to finish.
I have Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and currently working towards MBA.
I am just wondering where/what/who companies/locations/institutions are hot in Information Technology sectors.
Any feedback will be appreciated.
