I am told it tastes the same as the round/oval bit on the English bacon. I have no idea myself, I just buy the shopping! My carnivorous kids won't eat the streaky stuff, even when crispy, but they inhale the other round European bacon. I bought some Danish from the Brit shop by way of comparison last week ($15 :scared: ) and the sprogs and bloke said there was very little difference.

Hi Liz,
I've heard about the shop, didn't realise it was your husband. I have yet to find it coz i havn't ventured that far over to that side of town. We are living in Lake view near the airport. The thought of decent sausages though :D i,ll look you up on my trusty map.
