Default Sausage Rolls?

Does anyone know where you can buy sausage rolls or pasties in Canada?
I'm ashamed to say, I love Gregs pasties and have missed them dearly since moving to Canada. Can you buy something similar here?

Sausage rolls are revolting here...there're made of beef and taste like...well a hamburger :scared: . Of course this may just be a Sask thing! I've bought pasties in Sobeys and they're actually not bad so worth looking in there

Mr B bought a box of 64 frozen cocktail ones at Xmas from Superstore. I didn't eat them but he said they tasted exactly as they ought to...

I can ditto that. Box of frozen, cook your own sausage rolls from Safeway (Safeways own) were like a blast from the past.

Safeways sell sausage rolls cooked too..... I think they're ok, I'm not a great sausage-roll eater personally, but they always disappear from the fridge when the kids feel snacky.

Maybe they just find them less hassle than making up a sandwich!

Since you are in Toronto, try But N Ben or Mrs. Bridge's British Bakery. They both have excellent sausage rolls. Mrs. B. is in Eglinton Square Mall and But N Ben is in Pickering at Kingston and Whites and in Scarborough at Ellesmere and McCowan or Markham (I forget which). There are addresses and phone numbers here:

St Lawrence Market - the lower level - there is a Ukrainian deli called Dina's, I think. I know, Ukrainian and sausage rolls don't really have much to do with each other, but they really do make great ones!

Here in Edmonton I spotted a pack of fresh sausage rolls in the local Safeway - as someone mentioned earlier. Didn't buy them, so unable to comment on the taste factor, but was pleased to see them after reading part of this thread this morning!

Not seen any pasties, but then English pasties are different from the Irish ones anyway

Costco do some lovely frozen sausage rolls, really tasty. Also, my five year old son likes the ones you can buy from Robins Donuts.
