Hi guys, I have read a lot about different city's on here but not so much about Saskatoon so I was hoping there maybe some people living there or not to far away that could give me an insight into the city, what's life like living there ? What's the schools like ? What's the crime rate ? Are there any areas to avoid while looking for a house ?
Many thanks in advance

Here are some threads on Saskatoon judge for yourself. If really into mountain climbing, a day at the beach or seaside, heli skiing then Saskatoon might not be for you.

If you like Saskatoon berries, I doubt there's anywhere better.
Some colleagues of mine have moved to a project in Saskatoon. They like it, they say the town is nice enough. Granted, they were up here in purgatory beforehand, but even so, they wouldn't be shy of saying Saksatoon was a dump if they thought it was, and they haven't.
Anywhere is fine if you go with the right attitude and know that it's not necessarily forever.

Doesn't that describe about 90% of North American cities?
Personally it reminds me of an English country town except there's more snow, more concrete and less hills. Don't expect world-class entertainment venues, but there's nothing particularly bad about it and you can get from anywhere to anywhere in about fifteen minutes unless there's a crash on one of the bridges, a major crash on Circle Drive (the ring road) or Justin Whatsit is in town for the day.
The downside being that Saskatchewan drivers crash a lot.

It's not everyone's cup of tea, but we went over there in 2009 to visit friends and with a week of being there we loved it. We have been over every year since and we're waiting for our Nomination from the province so that we can move over and start working.
We have met a lot of British Expats on our visits there and I was offered a job by an English fella who made the move some 7 years ago.
Have you done a recce there yet??

feel free to pm me with any questions.. I will try and help

If you've been offered a job, won't you have moved well before June/July?!
