S.I.N. Number
Is this pretty quick or what?
Landed last Thursday
Went to HRCC offices for SIN number Friday
Got SIN Number today (Monday)
Job interview Tomorrow
Start work Wednesday (hopefully)
The Job is 99% guaranteed, just the start date that could be next Monday.

Did you ask to have the SIN card/number to be processed as an emergency? I asked for mine asap and applied for it back in June - I had a call to collect my card the very next day. My husband applied for his on the same day and his only just came in the mail TODAY!!! So no unless you asked for a rush job then you may have to wait 3 or 4 months for it.

Oh ye, forgot to say; when you apply for your SIN you are given a receipt and I think you can use this for when you apply for a job.........anyone confirm this?

QUICK UPDATEI start work on Monday, not my ideal job but it's a means to an end. I will report back in 3 months time when i am doing what i want to do. I took this job for 3 main reasons:
1, It will help pay the bills and feed the kids.
2, It was quick and easy to find.
3, It will help me save the money needed to do the course for the job i want.
