Requesting HRDC & Hotel information.
#1
Hi,
I've got a question related to my Landing. Please let me know the information if you folks are familiar.
Im landing on 30th October in Toronto and I plan to choose one of the following Hotel
1. Ramada Hotel & Suites, Downtown Toronto
300 Jarvis Street, Toronto, Ontario M5B 2C5
2. Quality Hotel & Suites Airport East.
2180 Islington Ave @Hwy 401, Toronto, ON CA M9P3P1
Once I checked in, I plan to visit HRDC office for obtaining SIN and visit HSBC Bank for opening an account.
CAN I WALK INTO TO ANY HRSDC CENTER CLOSE BY AND APPLY FOR SIN?
Should I need to choose an office which is serves the area which I;'ve given as a Permenant address to send my PR Card. Please let me know.
Also your comments about the Hotel if you've stayed. Esp., I am willing to know the transportation availability including Taxi, Train etc..,
If I get time after SIN application and Bank account on Monday, I plan to visit Niagara Falls using a Taxi and return to Hotel. (Is that possible).
Thanks,
Jag.

Those hotels - I would personally stay away from Jarvis street, not so pleasant, and the one on Islington Road - it's kind of far out, closer to the airport but not to central Toronto.

Re the hotels, I also agree that the one on Islington is pretty far out and the Ramada, although OK itself is not in the best of areas for walking, particularly at night.
Unless you have some reason for having to be right in the city, I would suggest you look for a place in a neighbourhood or small town/village just outside Toronto. Maybe Oakville or perhaps someone else can suggest some alternatives.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Im not planning much touring at this time as my trip
is just for 2 days and I want to get the following done.
1. Apply SIN from HRDC.
2. Open a Bank Account.
I've a 4 yrs old daughter who is also landing with me. Considering this If time permits, I will plan to hop into any Niagra tour available.
Those who landed earlier, Please let me know a decent Hotel (around 100$/day) to stay with the familiy which is easier to complete the HRDC and Bank work done.
Many thanks,
Jag.
