Default remote working for only 2 months

Hello everyone,

Struggling to find an answer for this as all the remote working threads i can find appear to be for scenarios of a much longer timeframe.

I am a UK citizen working for a UK university and i am going to be visiting my Fiancé who is based in Canada, Canadian Citizen. I am looking to go for 3 months, use 1 month annual leave and then for the other 2 months id be remote working. I have no association with Canadian companies and all my work is UK focused so it would be like working from my home office here but just from her house. I would continue to be paid into my UK account as normal.

Now, would this require a work permit or not? im really getting confused with some conflicting information im finding online so would appreciate any help on this matter.

Thank you

1. As long as there are no Canadian clients you don't require a work permit.
2. Your problem may be that your travel would be deemed non essential (your fiancee isn't your spouse) and you would be denied admission.
