Recommendations for short term accommodation in Calgary
#1
Hi,
My OH and I are moving to Calgary at the beginning of March. While I look for somewhere more permanent to rent, my company is going to pay for short term accommodation for the first month, but it is up to me to find somewhere, pay for it and claim it back on expenses.
I would welcome any recommendations for short term furnished apartments or hotels with kitchens in Calgary. Preferably somewhere in the region of 2000 cad a month, if such a thing exists!! I will be working in the SE 'burbs but am not very fussy about where we stay in the first month.

We rented a fully furnished and service 2 bed apartment near the Chinook Centre from this company for the first month we were here. Excellent property and very well furnished, the block we stayed in was full over airline pilots and cabin crew.

We were over on a recce last year for 3 weeks and stayed in a 2 bed apartment right near the c-train station at Somerset in the south. We rented it from http://canilink.com and got a good rate for renting for over the usual 2 weeks. They generally rent it out for short term recce rental.

Hi, Like to add my recommendation for canilink, we also stayed at their Somerset apt last Sept, really good location, close to C-Train and YMCA, plenty of places to buy your groceries and do some window shopping if needs be. Even has a Tim Hortons round the corner if that's what floats your boat.
The Wisdoms (no joke!!) are really helpful, in a very British kind of way and will go out of their way to make you welcome.
Hope this helps.

A friend of mine rents out a 2 bedroom fully furnished apartment in Calgary for $1500 per month on a month by month basis. If you get stuck finding somewhere give me a shout and I'll to see if it's available.

I have a 2 bed condo which I rent to newcomers to Calgary - it is currently vacant, fully furnished and in Lake Chaparral in SE Calgary. PM me if you are interested.
