I can't add anything else to the other great suggestions except to say that you could take in a Flames game for a reasonable amount (not that Hitmen aren't fun we really enjoy seeing them too) by buying the cheap seats for the game (costs around $34-$35 each.) They are up really, really high but honest it's not that bad & you truly can see all the play, you're on the same level as the TV commentators so it can't be that bad. The neat thing is though that if you arrive really early (about 1.5 hrs before the game starts) you can watch practice from the very best seats. In that way the boys can sit right by the tunnel where the players come out & (with the exception of Kiprusoff who you CANNOT touch) the kids can get autographs & "high 5" the players after watching them practice.
For a family of 4 and then food, this is quite expensive. They could pop to any CO-OP store and purchase the family pack to the Hitmen for $59.99 plus taxes - this will admit all 4 of them, provide all 4 of them with a hotdog and a drink each, and a shared bucket of popcorn - absolute bargain.

Granted, it will take an amazing season by the Hitmen to equal the likely achievements of the Roughnecks

Hitmen? Just about managed to make top of their division. Currently 7 points ahead of second place and have two games in hand. 2nd in Conference and 2nd in league one point behind leader.

Hey at least I didn't make any disparaging comments about Flames players, like Jerome Iguana, and Mikka Kipperhead, Neon Dion Phaneuf (what sort of name is Phaneuf for god's sake) Robin Red Gear, Oly Joke 'n Then, need I go on.
The only reason they're in most games is because of Kipperhead.
