I hope I'm not breaking any forum regulations here, but I would like to take the time to recommend the realtor that we have been using for our move to British Columbia, Blake Hilts.

Initially, we signed up to another realtors website, who contacted us and we were working through a shortlist of properties, we had received a little feedback from him, but basically that all of our properties were good.

I also registered on another website, as sometimes they show different pictures or give a bit of different info about the area. One of the operators of the website (Blake ) contacted me to see if he could help me out. I told him that we were a family moving from the UK but that we already had a realtor.
Blake was not put off by this, but informed us that the main property we were looking at was a former grow op and not likely to be suitable for a young family new to the area, and proceeded to explain why.

As our previous realtor had not bothered to explain this, knowing how keen we were on the property, I was pretty cheesed off. On asking why he hadn't bothered to tell us, he replied that we didn't ask!

I then dropped the original realtor and went with Blake, who has been very helpful, not only with property, but with other things, like schools and general advice about areas we were interested in. In the end, we have found a wonderful rental property with Blake and we will be using him if (when) our PR application comes through. I would have no hesitation recommending Blake and if anyone wants the contact info for him, please PM me and I will pass it on.
