Didn't think of the idea of getting friends and family to mail stuff to the UK address so it gets redirected and saves them the Air Mail costs. Smart!:D

It *does* require a certain level of faith in your postman though. I know once when I moved in the UK, for the first few months they managed to forward, at best, half of my mail. The rest they just delivered to the old address as usual. So it might be worth letting the people who move into your house know so they can warn you if anything goes amiss.
