Have your provincial tax returns been processed yet?

My wife and I sent ours off ages ago. The federal ones were processed quickly. Not a word out of Revenu Quebec yet. It's irksome because they owe us both lots.

Not yet, no. They seem to be on a bit of a go-slow. Have you checked the status of your file?

I've tried but they don't tell you much other than "we've received it".

I can live with slow. I can do without any detailed analysis or scrutiny!

Ah ok, you're a step ahead of me then because mine still says they either haven't received it or haven't started processing it.

True! Slow is always better than audited.

You've just reminded me that my installments are due on the 15th. I'd better get the cheques in the mail!

Both agencies are a damn sight quicker off the mark when you owe them!
