Question about TFW
I've been offered a job in the Oil Sands and decided to accept it. It's a camp job and it's 14 days on camp / 7 days off camp.
Now the question ... I want to bring my family across to Canada from Scotland but do I have to actually stay in the Alberta region as my wife has family in PEI (where we actually want to bring up our family) |
Re: Question about TFW
I don`t think there is a stipulation on a temporary work permit about where you have to live - just who you can work for.
The only issue might be if you apply for PR under the Alberta Provincial Nomination stream. |
Re: Question about TFW
My TWP restricts me to work for my employer (AB) but does not stipulate where I should live.
I think you will be OK. |

But some of the smaller airports can get problematic in winter and are prone to delay's or cancelations |
Re: Question about TFW
Does your job give you fly-in/fly-out each rotation? Our project has dedicated chartered planes and we fly people home all over Canada from Vancouver Island to Newfoundland each rotation.

That would be a massive help if I was to be truthful. |
