Which Province of Canada ....

Would you choose to live in and why?

My family and I are considering emigrating to Canada so would appreciate your opinions.

OK Thanks :)

Does anyone have an idea how much my husband should expect to earn as a highly experienced Draftsman/CAD Manager?

Where is he likely to earn the highest salary? :D

It is extremely unlikely that he would step into a management level position as a newcommer to Canada. Best bet is Ontario, GTA, just because it is the industrial heart of Canada, so more positions come up there. Dont rule out other areas too though, CAD is a pretty widespread necessity.

Guessing at salary levels for CAD operator (non Engineer)? Round here about $40k per annum, in TO maybe as high as $60k. You could check the HRDC site here for wage expectations.

If I won the lottery and my kids moved too - I would move to Vancouver.

Because my sister lives there and because I miss the sea!

Nova Scotia because that's where my husband was posted to but only for another 2 years. We then have a choice between there and Ontario. Ontario wins everytime!!!

Alberta - 300+ days of sunshine on average, access to both the rockies and the prairies, relatively cheap housing and I could get a job here.

I just don't like it, never have. Bores me to death. I could go on forever, but as with anything, I am the only one who can change things by leaving, which is in the works. :)
