Default Proof of funds when landing

Question to all who have landed.......

How did you give proof of funds when landing. I have a family of four and have to show I have 10 grand available. Are they happy to see a bank statement or what??

Am only staying for a couple of weeks then returning to England to sell the house.

The immigration officer asked us to write down on a scrap of paper how much $ we were bringing into the country - we did so - no proof was asked for. Others will have different stories, I think it can depend on the officer I am sure a current statement would be fine.

A bank statement should be fine.

Has anyone from the UK ever been asked for actual proof of funds when landing?

I flashed a thick envelope and told him it was $16,000 in cash, he said ok. Never actually looked inside but if he had he would have found the dosh!

Hi everyone,
If you arrive through the PNP process, proof of funds is not necessary, as your employment is proof enough

I was never asked. They check all that in the Visa application surely?
