Hi

We landed in October and stayed only weeks. I'm waiting on a job offer in Vancouver and hope to find out this week. We don't have kids. But IO didn't look at any of my documents/landing lists and just stamped our forms and said welcome! I'd spent months getting all my certificates/resume etc in place and then photocopied, but if we hadn't have done it they would have asked for it...Vancouver airport is an easy place to land in terms of where to go. We where with the IO for 5-10 minutes!!

One question do you have health cover? In BC you need extra insurance for the first 3 months.

If so, who did you go with?

Good luck

I looked in some depth at a number of companies (there's an excellent list on the Wiki) and having looked at the relative levels of cover - cost, decided on CanadaSure. Some friends of ours had come to the same conclusion independently of us too.

If this happens the you will need to present your GTF list when you do arrive for good. It solves the problem about acquiring stuff between now and then.
We are preparing to land on Saturday and was wondering which POE this has happened/been happening at?

Cheers
