Could anyone answer this question please! or know where I can find out....
What would happen if an applicant for PR was to become pregnant before being accepted?
Would there be a delay in the final process?
If applicant found out she was pregnant before application had been submitted would this information have to be added to application? please please any information would help searched web no luck! Is there anyone who has been in a similar situation?
Plans were to start new life in canada before extending family, but think it may be to late! really want to extend family but really want to move to canada as soon as possible, can anyone help.

A BIG THANKS TO ANYONE WHO CAN HELP!!!

Hello there,

From the information you've given, if you are not already in canada, you are going to have to let CIC know of the recent changes in your life.

The reason being, every kid now needs a seperate passport and visa to fly into and out of canada now, i noticed the british govt has done the same thing.

If you look at it logically, you can't just bring a new baby into a country, without the baby having passed medicals and other clearances. So yes....you have to inform them ( CIC ) !

If you are already in canada of course when they baby is born, then the baby becomes a canadian citizen automatically.

Try ringing CIC up for more info

Good luck

Thanks for your reply...

I guess Im just in a state of panic as it has took so long to gather all the information together for my application and with everything crossed was hoping to be Canada within a year. Do you know if it is still possible to submitt my application now, and have the medicals after the birth or will we have to wait until the baby is born before we can submit the application. After reading some of the messages it appears to take quite a while for applications to be processed, which by then I was hoping to have had the baby and only waiting for myself and the baby to have medical would this be possible?

Sending everything together at once is always advisable, it saves you all the palaver of having to send things seperately, and the fear of the doctor not sending them in time.

With no medical approval, you won't be able to get provincial health coverage for you, and the kid. Its going to cost you a lot of money in private health insurance until your case has been sorted out.

I'll say wait until the baby is born, and the send it together, after all you are both planning to be here at the same time. The form does ask if you have any kids, if you say no now and then say yes later, its only going to complicate things.

Here is little sh4dow, isn't he cute

I have been told by my lawyer not to say anything until after the Baby is born. However if you receive your Medicals before your baby is born you will not be able to do the medicals.

As for putting your Baby on the application I don’t think it will cost you too much time. There are a lot of people with the same situation as you.

Including me.

Thanks
Bob
