We are all set to move to Calgary in the early months of next year and are going to be heading over there for a nice holiday before.
While there is there anything I should look into trying to sort out? Such as a Job or accomodation or even transport. I just dont want to waste a chance to get a few things done beforehand to help with the move later.
I will also be looking to meet up a immigration specialist and see what options would be available to make the move permanent.
Any suggestions?

We picked up Realtor contacts in case we wanted them back in the UK.... and we generally had another good look at where we were going to move to - as we had first visited 2 years prior.

Ummm, I'd be trying to sort EVERYTHING out

Stuff the holiday, plenty of time for that once you live there.
We did a part holiday part recce trip this year. The trips we made to Ottawa and Montreal were nice, but we felt we were wasting valuable researching time.
Our criteria is probably different from yours in that we have two kids and a dog to sort out too.
Hope it all goes well for you

Thanks for the replies guys. Will make the most of it when we are out there, looking into what car we should get and where to stay. Jobs we will apply for when we get out there.
