Default PR Status Skilled Worker

Hi,
Self and family (wife, 2 children) have our PR through my skilled worker application. The immigration visa issued in our passports is valid until Aug 06.

I have concerns over exchange rates and getting work especially as I am a long very well paid contract in the UK. Any additional monies I make this year will cover the loss on exchange rather than added secury. deposits on car etc.

Hypophetically, if I arrive prior to that date stay a couple of weeks or so then return to the UK for say 6 - 8 months will I be allowed re-entry to settle on a more permanent basis ??

Comments appreciated.

Hi there

Provided you "land" prior to your visa expiring, you will then be able to return to UK for 6-8 months with no problems. To keep your PR status you need to reside in Canada for at least 2 years in each 5 year period. 6-8 months should be no problem at all.
