Default PR nightmare for all.

Im not suggesting that this was a good idea or not but how many spin doctors are working on this incident over the weekend.

PSAC will argue that it was political interference.
The PMO office are suggesting they did not say anything to the RCMP and that it was the RCMPs decision.
The RCMP are stating that it was a security issue so asked the pilot to land as the banner might be in a restricted airspace or contain a hate message.
How many of us not in Ottawa that are now aware of this?
I wonder how much of my union dues went towards PSAC paying for this

A fantastic pile of extra publicity for the protest......far outweighing the few people who may have looked up into the sky......it was probably worth the protestors making sure the plane was grounded. (Which of course they may have done )

Inspector to Sergeant in charge
Go ahead
See that plane towing that banner

I suspect that what really happened was that the Prime Minister picked up the red hotline to Ultrarunner, who quickly donned his military jetpack and wingsuit, jammed a dagger between his teeth and blasted off into the Ottawa sky to save the day from the forces of darkness. Hurrah!

All this fuss....it's beyond me why it was required to land....much easier just to shoot it down
