I applied in Dec 2002, AOR Jan 2003.
Still no reply. I think the number of applications must have
increased due to recession in singapore ?
Others have got theirs sooner.

Dear xng and hitocanda,
I am also thinking of applying to emigrate to Canada thru the Singapore office. Can u share with me your application information status? i.e. your age range? education level? Occupation? nationality? etc...
These things have an effect on how long your immigration application process take.

Have you heard anything from the embassy?
I understand that they must be processing 2002 applications now?
Since both of you applied in 2002, I was curious about the progress of your applications. Since I am down the line (2003), that might give me some signal.
Have you got your CAIPS?

hi guys
I applied in SG nov 2001 and recd my PR may 2003 - total of abt 18 months. Moved to Toronto Nov 2004 and now thinking of moving back to Singapore. Canada does not seem to be working out for me. I think SG is a much better place to live in.
cheers

Medicals done on the 24 apr 2002.
(i had hepatitis A as a child and had to do further medicals for hepatitis B)
Request for RPF 16 Jul 2002
Request for Passport 15 th Jan 03
Landed March 25th 2003
Worked first 6 months roasting cashewnuts in a chocolate factory.I hold a Master degree in civil engineering from UK+ 18 yrs of work experience Just couldn't find a job.. due the lack of Canadian Experience.. Finally perseverence paid..found a job and now am a project manager.
The only advice... Thought the cic makes u feel tht ur qualification is blah blah and u can find a job as there is a shortage... expect to struggle.. Ur major stumbling block is lack of Canadian experience..
