Ahhhh!! Toast Toppers, another Brit Product which will make some Expats GROWN!!!
Again though, I grew up with them, so whether it's cheap grub out of a can - it's something we can't find on most Canadian store shelves, so in the same vein as Pot Noodles, it's something we justifyingly miss from home!
All the best.

In the same way, that "store brand" noodles in flavoured water are never a match for this fella >>>

Toast toppers are really good in a sandwich toaster type toasty.

Never had toast toppers; not for snobby reasons - my Mum just thought they were common.

They were inexpensive convenience food but the fact that one wouldn't buy them, not because of health concerns but because an imagined class signifier they've attached to the product, would I suspect, make you much more common.

Got that one right! A more aspirational snob you could never wish (or not) to meet. She banned us from watching Grange Hill for years. ITV was touch and go!

I've been trying a few brands like Nissin and Paldos in Hot n Spicy chicken and a Kimchi one and I appreciate that they are a more complex and tastier version of the super cheap ramen packs from 30 yrs ago (these have envelopes of dehydrated veg and 'flavour booster') but have yet to go to Walmart to find the British section (they fired a clerk for calling the cops on someone who left their dog in their car on a hot day). Is the British version that much better and worth so much more? By the case the ones @ Wholesale Club are very cheap but what worries me is the conspicuous packaging.
Am I over thinking this? Crushed hard it's probably a cubic inch or less. There's cellophane, a foil lid, a cardboard bowl and 2 or 3 foil and cellophane envelopes. What's the eco damage vs a recycled tin can? Can't believe I typed that.

Pot Noodle's are a British Institution!!!
I tried numerous Canadian equivalents, but nothing comes close.
Yes Pot Noodles are a simple "fast food snack" ... but the quality is far and above any other "store brand effort" in my opinion. Also, Pot Noodle have been around for a long, long time and are still improving recipes and overall quality of their product range.
.. NO! I don't work for PN HQ wither!!!
