Default post grad work permit??

Hi well thank to lots of good advice in a previous post we've decided to try and go with the study permit route. I'm applying for a one year graduate diploma with a view to hopefully getting a post graduate work permit for the year afterwards. However as always a decision seems to open up lots more questions and confusion; so here goes...

The institution I am applying for is not on the list of participating instituations for an off campus work permit. Does that have any bearing on obtaining a post graduate work permit?

My husband will get issued a work permit while I'm studying, but is he still allowed to continue working once I finished studying and am (hopefully) working via a post grad work permit?

If I manage to get a teaching job after I finish my diploma, what's the best way to try and get PR - a year doesn't seem a long time to get the ball rolling

Am sure once these are answered I'll have a whole load of fresh questions!!

Thanks so much for all your help
Amanda
