Default Points on driving licence

Anybody know if 2 x 3 points for speeding on driving licence will cause a problem when they show on Police certificate?

My understanding on this is that only 'arrest' charges are shown on police reports ie for bodily harm, theft etc. so with driving offences you should be fine. If you were arrested for drunken driving however I expect that would show up.

Also, if arrest charges are more than 5 years old a pardon can be granted so it wouldn't automatically mean a bar of entry.

Hope that's helpful
