Lightbulb PNP x 2 i.e. Mr & Mrs ????

Out route to MB is fairly straightforward; PNP Long Haul Truck Driver for me () but as we've been looking through the list of other jobs/trades/qualifications on the PNP list, it transpires that Mrs Tandy qualifies as pre-school teacher (and variations thereof).

We are aware that if we go to MB on 'my PNP', then Mrs T can't work for the first year, however, now that we know she has a qualification that she could apply for PNP in her own right, we are thinking of her doing just that!

Has anyone heard of or come across this scenario before? Can anyone think of any reason that it couldn't happen? Bearing in mind the old saying "If something seems too good to be true - it probably is!"

We are thinking that a) it would be good financially if Mrs T did work, but probably more importantly, b) she can 'keep her hand in', avoid any 'skill fade' and remain current.

Comments and advice please.

Hi marcustandy. We are in the same boat. My wife is an accounts payable manager and at first we were going to Oakville or Burlington as i have cousins there but i have been looking at Nova Scotia and have a good feeling about it. The style of the houses, the look of the towns etc is what i like. Oak and Bur seem very built up and just what i'd like to get away from. Anyway sorry i'm drifting. I think it's better to go on her job if we can with pnp. She's not very happy if i'm away for a couple of weeks, not until we're settled a while anyway, plus when the time comes for me to get a job, maybe i could do something else away from driving. At the moment i'm battling with some health issues, so it might have to work that way anyway..We are waiting for more tests, so until i get the all clear it's not worth applying for at the moment. Off to bed now so keep in touch.
