Smile PNP? more info please!

Hello again folks,

Many thanks for all the helpful replies before (still looking at web-sites that you suggested).

One thing that came up several times was the provincial nominees programme.
I have looked at info on the main sites and it seems to put emphasis on employers rather than employees. With this in mind can anyone suggest the best ways to approach possible employers or to apply for jobs. Has anyone experience of searching for an employer for PNP. Even good job websites/agents addresses woud be gratefully accepted. As before any advice is good advice to us so feel free to let us know.
Again can we thank all those who replied before, as a registered techno-mungo with the computer ability of a paving slab I was really grateful for the links and general comments posted.

Regards Paul

Hi Paul,

I am going through the BC Business PNP program at the moment and have the last couple of hurdles to negotiate in the next few weeks.

I doubt I can offer you much help as you're looking at the employment route.

It is my understanding that you can't get a list of employers that are signed up to the PNP scheme. It is a question of getting the job and then finding out they are a member of the scheme

However, I have seen postings from people saying that some agencies will guarantee to get you job (for a fee of course) so they may be able to help. I'm sure I have read references on this website to that effect so have a good route about.

Finally, your posting would probably have been better in the Canadian immigration section of this website, this one is supposed to be for lifestyle and culture.

Good luck,

Ian.

Even the ones that guarantee you a job (for a fee) will not even get back in touch with you if you do not have the skills they want, ie construction, truck driver or Brickie etc.

I have sent our Resumes off to Shadi Norman 3 times now (a lot of people have used her I believe) and she has never bothered to reply once!

If I do not have the skills that her agency are looking for at least she could have the decency to tell me so!

be patient and expect a long wait.
