Post Plumbing info

Does canada have push fit plastic pipes or is it all cement fix ?, and do all pipes for waste ie. water and effluent have to be vented ?, or are the books i have out of date, can anyone recommend an up to date book.

I have not seen push fit, mainly ABS cemented. have seen a few mechanical fixings,
The venting is pretty complicated here as they have dry vents and wet vents. The venting of waste is dependant on distance from vent stacks.
An average house may have 2-3 Vents going to exterior
Each province has it own code, The BC code book has just been updated and cost about $300.00.
