I desperately want to work temporarily in Canada, anything from 6 months to a year but it seems impossible. I've just returned from BC where Canadians were telling me if you're under 30 (which I am) and British there should be no problem but the reality is somewhat different !!
How on earth do you get a job offer when you are in the UK? and although I have a post-graduate degree my career history consists of nothing that local Canadians couldn't do. Isn't there any way of working in Canada, even in a bar or a general office job, temporarily ?? I'm rapidly giving up hope even though everyone I met over there was desperate for me to come over!!
Is it actually easier to permanently emigrate as that is what it feels like!
Any help would be really gratefully received.

under 30 and british makes you eligible for a working vacation visa. Come on vacation and start job hunting.
