We are in the process of filling in the forms for emmigration to Canada. The instructions for the photo requirements are rather confusing. Its clear that we need 4 photos each but the size quoted is the confusing bit. The size stated is the same as British passport photos but the form says passport photos are not the same !? To make matters worse the photographer we used told us that Canadian photo requirements were larger that passport photos. We have sets of photos in each size for good measure! Which should we send off?

Send the larger ones we did and they were fine.It seems there are all sorts of sizes requested..usa Aus etc. But the larger ones will be fine.
When you get notification to go for your x-ray and medicals you will need another set of 4 pics each for the medical results you can use ordinary passport size for these. Vi.

just to confuse things a bit more , my photographer said they where the same size as brit passport photographs ... he did me a set and i sent those and they are now looking lovely sat in my landing documentation

i was confused when i origionally got them done , however i vowed to go and shout at the photo guy if they where wrong and got sent back

I used a 'Photo Me' booth, and the photos came out precisely the right size after I cut them up.

Did have to do it twice, though, as I was sitting too far back the first time and my head came out 24mm tall .
