Can anyone suggest or recommend a company for phone/internet/TV/and cable in Calgary?

Not sure why you have added "and cable"?

But go with Shaw for everything.

You need a cable to connect the TV to the source of the signal. Hope that helps.

Thanks for that. The couple who were in the house before us was with Shaw, as well, and has left the internet modem and digital terminal for us, but we wanted to make sure we were getting the best deal. Doesn't hurt to research.

It's pretty much the only deal, certainly for cable. Apparently there are things you can do with Telus through the phone and Bell ExpessVu for satellite.

You can get various phone packages but the majority of Calgary is only served by Shaw for cable TV at present but Telus is spreading and looks a very good price, I'll certainly be investigating them when they reach our post code

Rogers is apparently offering an phone, internet plus TV package in a limited market in Calgary.

I'm not sure how widely available it is.

TV & the Internet seem expensive in Calgary, based on Shaw prices. Is this the case with all providers?

The world and its dog gives the internet free nowadays in the UK, you get free with you mobile phone provider, Sky TV give it free etc etc

Sky TV is digital and for around £22 a month you get around 300 channels + internet and free digital decoder etc, for a couple of £££ more you can also get unlimited phone calls.

You'll get some discounts for bundling multiple services and they'll usually throw the cable modem in for free. But otherwise, the lack of serious competition means they can charge whatever they like.
