Some of the newer providers are giving free unlimited incoming calls & texts and free outgoing international texts. We use Koodo, which is linked to Telus. 150 mins + free incoming calls & text + free outgoing text + free outgoing international text....for $35 + HST

Not as cheap as I had it in the UK but best so far out here. I tried to get both mine and wife's phone on same contract but as we had no credit history they would not let us. We had to apply seperatly and have an account limit of $200 per month. Not been over $35 yet.

Network coverage is great as it falls back onto Telus
