pet help

we are going to canada on the 30th and we are taking our cat and dog we have taken them for there rabbis shot and we have to go back before we leave, but we have lost both of their historys i.e previous immunisations, would there be any reason we would need all this?

Hi.

Not 100% sure, but as long as you have proof of current jabs I am sure that is all that matters. If, for instance, you got a dog or cat from the animal shelter, they wouldn't always have their medical history.
Good luck!

Just to add, if you have used the same vet for a while, they should have a copy of their records.

Yup = vet that you have used should have a record on their Computer system = managed to loose my hounds "innoculations" book a few years ago - the recptionist printed me out a list of jabs and dates for the kennels and then did me up a new book.

As it was the old one turned up - in my daughters dressing up stuff - obviously!!

also you should get your pets a health check before departure. we leave on the 19th , and that was what we were told to do.

We needed to provide evidence for an old injury for drugs to travel with our dog - so the vet just printed out the whole history for our dog which included all appointments and vaccinations, so they should be able to do that for you.

I guess as long as they're Kosher, it'll be OK :p (Sorry - just couldn't avoid missing that pun!);):D
