Default Pemberton, BC - Thoughts?

Hi folks,

I haven't been on here for a few years since moving to North Van, but we had some great comments and feedback then, so thought we'd consult you all again!

As I said, we're currently living in North Van, and now with a child, so are thinking of moving to Pemberton and wondered if there are any Brits currently living there that could help us out?

Not sure whether to rent or buy just yet, but want to give Pemby a chance as we love it so much in all seasons. Just wanted to know what made you move there, what you love and hate about it, why it works as a place to bring up children ... anything really.

Thank you in advance,

LondonGirl32

I can't offer any insight into Pemberton, but wanted to say 'welcome back' - it's good to have you here again!

Is there a need to commute work wise? If so, the commute from there in winter can be less then pleasent.

Biggest downsides I would see is limited amenities, and if not working from home or in Pemby and needing to work, the commute.

It's pretty. Some of the nicest landscapes in the region, but other then that, I am curious as well about what makes it awesome. I've been there several times, just a sleepy small town from what I can tell.

Yep it is and you see this sign when entering the area. It's a virus free area and rules fairly strict to protect the crops. Can't just plant any old potato in your backyard garden either, required to use local seeds and follow fairly strict rules.
